JOB DESCRIPTION: To perform diagnostics and repairs to computers/mobile handsets above the standard required. Eliminate blacklisting, SIM card or network problems to ensure fault lies with the handset or accessories Perform functionality checks in order to eliminate user error Ascertain the warranty status of a handset in order to eliminate damaged equipment Perform a functional test of the handset using RF test equipment and PC in order to ascertain the nature of the defect/s (where applicable) Perform mechanical/cosmetic repair to handsets in order to remedy diagnosed fault Reflow circuit board components to effect repairs Perform component repair in order to effect repairs Perform the replacement of complex components in order to effect repairs Perform in depth fault analysis in order to effect repairs Repair to manufacturers guidelines in order to effect repairs Support Product Support team and level 2 Engineers as and when necessary, in order to enhance the skill base of the workshop Carry out soldering work where required in order to effect repairs Achieve agreed targets as specified in order to meet the requirements of the business Perform in-depth electronic fault-finding techniques Ability to read and understand electronic schematics Travel to clients site to perform repair PERSON SPECIFICATIONS: Proven experience as a Computer/Mobile Device repairer in a fast-paced environment Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities in English A Team player as well as has ability to work independently using own initiative.
